Some people have the idea that breast feeding is a natural and safe way of birth control. But, it's not exactly like that. This type of birth control has 2% possibilities of not working. So if the woman is breast feeding and decides to use a secure method of birth control, see the list below with all the relevant information about it.
Birth Control list:Condom: It's a safe an efficient birth control and is the most effective birth control method especially if the woman is breastfeeding. Hormonal contraceptives: This birth control method can be used three weeks after giving birth, but is not recommendable before, especially to avoid the formation of dangerous blood clots. While breast feeding it's ok to take the pill composed of gestagene. The combination of estrogen and gestagene is not recommendable because it could decrease the quantity and quality of the breast milk. Coil: If you choose this birth control, it's recommended to wait for 2 or 3 periods before using it. In this time the uterus would have come back to its normal size and the risk of perforation of the uterus wall is smaller. Even if the woman is breast feeding, it's all right to use this birth control, but preferable after 2 or 3 periods. Diaphragm: If this is the birth control used before getting pregnant, you will have to get a new one. This is because now, the sexual organs have a different dimensions.
