Therefore, oral sex is especially advantageous for couples who cannot or do not want to use any contraceptives and who do not want to do without sex during her fertile days but who do not want to take the risk of an unwanted pregnancy either.
It is also practised in certain religous communities where it is important that the women have to maintain their virginity and therefore are not allowed to have proper sexual intercourse which would destroy their hymen.
A lot of couples do also practise oral sex as a foreplay before the actual sexual intercourse.
