If some information about the topic "uterine adenomyosis and fertility" is required, the following paragraphs might contain some interesting news for you.

Adenomyosis is the technical term for the entering of endometrical glands into the muscular tissue of the uterus wall, therefore, adenomyosis is the extension of endometriosis into the muscular layer of the uterus.

Adenomyosis can be found at different places of the uterus wall and it can also be dispersed. In both cases, it is assumed that it is caused by a direct entering of endometrical tissue into the depths of the uterus. Classic symptoms for an adenomyosis are strong menstruation pains and an unusually strong and long period which increase with a continuing illness.

Painful sexual intercourse can be another symptom for adenomyosis. A biopsy of the uterus wall is the only possibility for a direct proof of endometriosis. Unfortunately, this is a blind approach, therefore, affected places can also be missed. Magnetic resonance and ultrasound can also be used, but are less secure methods to prove adenomyosis.

Adenomyosis can be treated for example with a progesterone coil. Although the origin and the development of endometriosis has not completely be explored, there are various treatments for this illness. In many cases, it is possible to restore the weakened tissue as well as the fertility and to ease the pain.

In order to support the treatment of the illness, it can be very helpful to improve the body's defences and to eat anti-inflammatory food. Reflexology can also be very supportive.
