How to start an ovulation calendar:
First of all it is recomended to calculate the lengh of the cycle (from
the first day of the last period to the next one).

In the case we show above the
womans cycle is 30 days (counting from the first day of the period to
the first day of the next period) so the most probable time to ovulate
would be the 15th, exactly at the middle of the cycle.
An ovulation calendar from the last six months will help the woman to
know the length of her cycle, which is very important.
Some women experience a slight pain the lower abdomen area when they are
ovulating. Take that into account.
The ovulation could last 24 to 48 hour and it is recommended that you
have sex regularly during this period.

ovulation to within hours. Start using the ovulation predictor kit 5 days
before you think you will be ovulating. Use one a day until the test gives
a positive result - ie it detects LH.
