When you are pregnant, life changes around you. It's the best opportunity to stop all your bad habits and start a brand new healthy life. Enjoying all the changes in your body.

First: Stop smoking.
If you do smoke, when you are pregnant you should stop smoking. There are no more excuses to give up. Now that you are pregnant it's wise to start thinking about your baby's health as well. Smoking can cause multiple problems in the fetus, like lack of growth, breathing difficulties............. Did you know that doctors can tell a heavy smoking mother by looking at the blackened placenta and narrow, blackened umbilical cord. What harm is that having on your baby.

If it's to difficult to do it on your own, visit your doctor and ask for proffessional help.

Second: Change your diet.
Now that you are pregnant you have double the reasons to look after your diet. You need to eat healthy nutritious foods, not just for you, but for your baby as well. Have a complete healthy breakfast, plenty of fruit and vegetables and a light dinner.

Third: Think positive.
Positive thinking liberates endorphines which is beneficial for the baby. Breathe in and out deeply and concentrate on the rhythm of your breathing. If a negative thought crosses your mind say "stop" and force it to go away. Concentrate on the positive in your life.

Fourth: Change your job routines.
The pregnancy makes you change your actitude about work, now that you are pregnant you might prefer to work less hours, quit your job or even change your carreer. And if you need to keep working while you are pregnant, you could use your maternity leave to decide what you really want to do.

Fifth: Prepare your home.
Pregnant women tend to prepare their home for the arrival of the baby. If you are worried about the finances, check your bank for the possibility to modify or reduce your mortgage, or maybe take a small loan...
