In this stage of the pregnancy your blood volume has increased up to 40 %. Your uterus is now the size of an orange. Your hormones are all over the place.

Your baby is now 24 mm, four times bigger than a month ago. Now the complete shape of the face appears. The two sides of his/her head are growing. The embryo is now growing quickly.

Forbidden foods in the pregnancy are the brie cheese, camembert and blue cheese, because of the high risk of listeriosis. This is not a very common problem but it could have serious consequences in the fetus.

Food tip: Eat protein portions like meat, fish or eggs twice or three times a day; 5 pieces of fruit and vegetable, three portions of milk related products, and also six units of carbohydrates (like potatoes, pasta and bread).
