But if a woman has a very irregular cyclus, and therefore is not so sure about her fertile days, she and her partner should be cautious having sexual intercourse without using any contraceptives during her period. Although, it is not very likely, there is still a tiny little chance that male sperms will survive long enough in the fluid of the vagina until the ovulation. Under these circumstances, the egg cell could be fertilized.

But as mentioned before, in general, it is quite unusual for a woman to get pregnant during her period.
